Lobster PEI conducts Lobster Roll Call promotion
Lobster PEI, and organization that works to promote lobster from the province, has begun a promotion called the “PEI Lobster Roll Call” in the Greater Toronto Area. The initiative involves nine restaurants in the city serving a variation on the lobster roll. The promotion is being conducted in association with Toronto Life magazine and chef Charlotte Langley. Consumers will be invited to vote for their favourite version online at <https://torontolife.com/pei-lobster-contest>. The top three restaurants will be featured on the Toronto Life website at the end of the initiative. Voters will also be entered into a draw for a Lobster PEI prize package and a $500 gift card from the participating restaurants. The promotion will run from Aug. 12 to 31.
“Due to COVID-19, Canadians are travelling less and this means they are not able to enjoy the delicious, sustainable PEI lobster that they normally would while visiting our province,” said Charlie McGeoghegan, board chair of The Lobster Fishers of Prince Edward Island. “We are excited to bring the PEI experience to Ontario in a fun and exciting way while supporting the foodservice sector wherever we can.”
