Earth's Own begins Plant Project
By Adnews Staff
Earth's Own Food Company of Burnaby, BC has begun a national initiative called the “Earth’s Own Plant Project” that will provide funding to individuals and organizations that encourage consumers to shift to plant-based foods. The company will offer grants of up to $25,000 through this program based on the individual idea. Applications can be submitted online at <http://www.earthsown.com/plantproject> until July 31. Recipients will be announced in September.
“We believe, fiercely, that eating a plant-based diet can save the world,” said Brittany Hull, director of marketing at Earth’s Own. “We know the world can’t sustain our current eating habits and that adopting a plant-based diet is the biggest thing we can do as individuals in the fight against climate change. And now we’re expanding our mission to lend our support to like-minded plant pioneers across Canada. Whether you’re an entrepreneur wanting to start a plant-based food truck, a school lunch program looking to make the switch from dairy to oat or a national charity with a plant-based education curriculum, if you’re motivated to make a difference to our planet by inspiring Canadians to choose plants, we want to hear from you.”
