Unilever begins Go Schmidt's campaign

Unilever Canada has begun a campaign for its Schmidt's brand of deodorant. The campaign, called “Go Schmidt's,” features television personality and cheerleader Jerry Harris. It is intended to encourage consumers to try natural deodorant for the first time. Consumers can enter a draw via the brand’s Instagram page to participate in a video chat with Harris. The chat will include five winners. In addition, 500 random entrants in North America will receive a sample of  Schmidt's deodorant.

“In recent weeks, we've been experiencing a surge of interest on social media and customer service channels around the natural deodorant transition, but many have questions about what they should expect when switching from a conventional deodorant to a natural deodorant,” said Ryu Yokoi, CEO of Schmidt's. “When we saw the conversation, we challenged Jerry to join in and put the product to the ultimate test by adding it to his wellness routine. To date, over four million people have discovered the benefit of Schmidt's natural deodorant, including Jerry, and there's no better person to cheer people on as they make their switch to naturals.”
