CBC conducts Hello Spring promotion

CBC has begun a promotion called “Hello Spring” intended to help consumers experience nature while remaining at home. The four-week national initiative makes use of a website at <http://www.cbc.ca/hellospring> that will feature documentaries from a number of Canadian nature and wildlife cinematographers. The site also offers a selection of live video feeds of various natural sites. Consumers are also being encourages to submit photographs and videos via social media illustrating what spring looks like in their communities.
“Spring is always a time for regrowth, rebirth and renewal, and even more so in these times,” said Jennifer Dettman, executive director of unscripted content at CBC. “With Canadians spending so much time indoors, we have launched this new destination to provide some of the experiences and everyday joys that many of us are missing at this time of year. ‘Hello Spring’ also provides a nation-wide platform for Canadians to share scenes from their own backyards, further connecting us to communities across the country without leaving home.”
