Vans begins autism awareness promotion

Footwear brand Vans has released a new line of products called the Autism Awareness Collection intended to raise awareness of autism. The shoes incorporate “sensory inclusive designs” aimed primarily at consumers with autism spectrum disorder. They make use of a colour palette intended to be calming, as well as additional elements that “focus on the senses of touch, sign and sound.” Part of the proceeds from the sales of the collection will be donated to the A.skate Foundation, which introduces skateboarding to children with autism. Vans is a division of VF Corporation.
