Reitmans conducts Women's Day promotion
Toronto-based retail chain Reitmans Canada has temporarily changed its name to Reitwoman to coincide with International Women's Day on March 8. According to the company, this is the first time in the 94-year history of the brand that it has made a temporary change to its name. The alteration will appear on two physical stores as well as the brand’s online properties. The participating stores are located in Laval, QC and Ottawa.
“This was above all another step in showing our customer that she is what inspires us,” said Valérie Vedrines, the company’s vice-president of marketing and visual presentation. “Women are the most important part of our brand and we want to empower them, to give them confidence. We think it is important to take any opportunity to shine a light on this. It is also a way to unite our amazing community of women and show the strength that comes from gathering together and standing up together.”
