Destination Canada begins Spotify promotion

Streaming music service Spotify has begun a marketing campaign in collaboration with tourism organization Destination Canada. The campaign, called “For Glowing Hearts,” will run through the month of March. It is intended to encourage consumers to visit new cities by introducing them to the music, artists and venues located there. The digital initiative makes use of a website at <>. Visitors to the site can access a range of information about the music communities in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, including 12 playlists of music. The promotion also includes social media support. The effort is part of a larger campaign by Destination Canada intended to increase domestic travel in Canada during late winter and early spring.
