Giant Tiger expands loyalty program

Ottawa-based discount store chain Giant Tiger has expanded its GT VIP loyalty program into Quebec and Atlantic Canada. The program became available to consumers in the Atlantic region on Feb. 18 and in Quebec on Feb. 25. Consumers can sign up for the program using the Giant Tiger mobile application, which offers discounts on various products. The program also includes contest promotions and other benefits.
“We are delighted to announce the expansion of our loyalty program to the east coast and Quebec markets,” said Cindy-Lynn Steele, senior vice-president of corporate strategy and marketing at Giant Tiger. “We successfully launched to Ontario last fall and, after seeing the exciting level of engagement, we are eager to offer this program to even more Canadian customers. Much like the launch in Ontario, we have chosen to launch in a rolled-out approach to ensure that customers have the best possible experience.”
