Environics Analytics debuts tourism marketing service
By Adnews Staff
Environics Analytics of Toronto has launched a new service called VisitorView, aimed at the travel and tourism industry. The service is intended to allow users to identify “ideal travellers” and customize their marketing and media activities accordingly. It is aimed primarily at clients seeking to attract consumers from the United States. It uses mobile location data and additional datasets to identify US neighbourhoods whose residents have a high propensity to visit Canada. It provides neighbourhood estimates for the total number of overnight visitors, the number of trips and the number of nights spent in Canada, in a province or in one of 84 tourism regions. It also divides tourists into 68 lifestyle categories and provides measurement of marketing effectiveness.
