Sofina Foods begins goalie mask contest
By Adnews Staff
Sofina Foods of Markham, ON has begun a sponsorship of Hockey Canada. Sofina will be a national sponsor of the organization for three years. The first element of the agreement is a promotion called the “Janes Design-A-Mask” contest. The initiative invites young consumers to submit original designs for a goalie mask. Two winning designs will be worn by the goaltenders at the 2020 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The winners will also receive masks bearing their designs and autographed by the team, as well as a trip for four to the tournament. The contest is being supported with social media activities, digital content and promotion at several upcoming IIHF events.
“Janes is proud to be a long-time supporter of grassroots hockey through our partnerships with the Quebec International Peewee Hockey Tournament, and the Canadian Hockey League and its teams,” said Paul Craft, marketing vice-president at Sofina Foods. “We are excited to feed the passion for Canada’s game with the addition of Hockey Canada and to further support the growth of women’s hockey in communities across the country.”
