WestJet releases holiday video

Calgary-based airline WestJet has released an online video called “To Give or Receive” to coincide with the holiday season. The video records an event in Toronto at which consumers were invited to enter an installation in the shape of a blue Santa Claus hat. Participants were then invited by a holographic Santa to choose whether to give or receive a present under a tree. Gifts which were given would go to families and sick children staying at a Ronald McDonald House. WestJet developed the promotion in association with ARHT Media.
“The conversation around giving and receiving is a powerful one and this year's video finds inspiration in both sides of the story,” said Richard Bartrem, vice-president of marketing and communications at WestJet. “The authentic reactions and emotions made possible through these acts make this year's Christmas Miracle truly heartwarming.”
