Postmedia launches Healthing.ca

Postmedia Network of Toronto has launched a new online property called Healthing.ca that will specialize in healthcare information for consumers and healthcare practitioners. The content will be provided by health writers at various Postmedia properties, accompanied by information and resources from healthcare institutions, patient groups, industry researchers and clinicians. Postmedia has also formed an agreement with Ebix to offer access to interactive healthcare content. The site includes a searchable database of conditions and educational content on diseases and symptoms.
“Healthcare issues touch the lives of every single Canadian, and healthcare topics are some of the best-read material in all our markets,” said Lucinda Chodan, senior vice-president of content at Postmedia. “We have created a central source of health information connecting patients and caregivers to research and support.”
