DSA Media of Langley, BC has been purchased from its founders by its president. The firm, which specializes in media planning and buying in western Canada, has been placed under the ownership of a new entity called Chickadee Media, created by DSA president Samantha Richardson. The company will continue to operate as DSA Media. Richardson joined the agency in 2007 and became president in 2017. Earlier this month, the company’s structure was changed from a sole proprietorship to a partnership. The agency’s other partners are Lynn Hoffman, Shannon Schafer, Zac Goodman and Tom Shipman. DSA Media was founded in 1997 by David and Mary Stanger. The firm has additional offices in Victoria, Calgary and Regina.
“I’m incredibly honored to be leading such a talented and diverse team of passionate media practitioners,” said Richardson. “This is a proud moment in my career and the history of our agency. The Stangers have been exceptional mentors and leaders, providing strong roots, an incredible culture and a practiced set of values for our agency network. What a solid foundation and legacy to continue to rise from.”
