New Balance begins promotion with Sport Chek

Athletic footwear company New Balance Canada has begun a back-to-school campaign in association with sports equipment retailer Sport Chek. During August and September, the company will donate two dollars to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart charitable program for each pair of children’s shoes sold. Jumpstart works to provide access to sports and recreation for disadvantaged children. The initiative includes digital advertising and social media content, as well as in-store materials. This will be the second year the brand has conducted this promotion.
“We're very proud and excited to continue our partnership with Sport Chek in support of their wonderful charity, Jumpstart,” said Jon Purdy, senior marketing manager at New Balance Canada. “New Balance is wholly committed to supporting children of all ages and financial backgrounds, enabling them access to the sports and athletic activities that will contribute to their health and success as they get older. Last year was a huge success and we're excited to again participate in the program and support such a worthy cause.”
