Rogers Communications of Toronto has appointed Jordan Banks to the position of president of Rogers Media. He will begin work on Sept. 30. Outgoing president Rick Brace, who has held the position since 2015, will retire at the end of the year. Banks was most recently managing director of Facebook Canada and Instragram Canada. Prior to that, he was global head of vertical strategy at Facebook. Banks was also head of EBay Canada.
“I am thrilled to join such an iconic Canadian company with its incredible breadth and depth of sports and media assets,” said Banks. “I am honoured and excited to build on Rick’s legacy and look forward to working with the team to drive the next wave of growth across our sports and media businesses.”
