Rogers Media, Contobox launch new online ad service

Rogers Media has signed an agreement with Toronto-based online advertising company Contobox to launch a new advertising system called R.E.D. Contobox. The service will combine data from Rogers Media with the Contobox system for developing interactive advertisements. Advertisers using the system will pay based on “viewable user-initiated engagements” rather than by CPM metrics. It will be offered as both a managed and a programmatic ad-buying service. Through this agreement, Rogers Media Sales will be the exclusive sales representative for Contobox to Canadian agencies.
