La Presse of Montreal has releases a new version of its mobile application optimized for use on smartphones. The new app features a modified page design and navigation system, as well as a range of special reports and columns previously available only through the La Presse+ tablet application. It also incorporates new advertising placements intended to provide better audience reach.
“La Presse readers value very highly our rich feature reports, investigative journalism, regular columns, editorials and analysis,” said Jean-Marc De Jonghe, vice-president of digital products at La Presse. “They were unanimous in demanding that all of that content, without exception, be accessible across all of our platforms. La Presse is pleased to make the full extent of its content available to our readers, whether they’re on their computer, phone or tablet.”
The new app is being promoted with a launch campaign developed by Cossette. The initiative focuses on the user experience of the program and the quality of the news its offers. It includes radio and web-based executions.
