Heart & Stroke Foundation begins Mother's Day promotion
By Adnews Staff
The Heart & Stroke Foundation has begun a Mother’s Day campaign in association with Manulife. The campaign encourages people to visit <http://www.heartandstroke.ca/mothersday> to make a donation and send a personalized electronic card to their mother. Manulife will match these donations up to $250,000. Printed versions of the cards will also be sold at temporary retail locations in Toronto and Montreal on May 9 and 10. The campaign includes an online video depicting children of various ages wishing their mothers a happy day. It is also intended to raise awareness of women's heart health.
“Manulife is proud to become a founding partner of Heart & Stroke’s Women’s Initiative,” said Stacey Grant-Thompson, chief marketing officer at Manulife Canada. “It's important to raise awareness and increase the dialogue on the topic of heart health amongst Canadian women. One of our main goals is to equip women with vital information they need to live longer, healthier lives. We're excited about the innovative campaign we've developed to support that goal."
