McDonald's begins Raptors promotion

McDonald’s Canada has begun a promotion in Ontario for its McNuggets menu item timed to coincide with the NBA playoffs. Developed by Cossette, the promotion features a limited edition package called the “Raptors NuggNet” box. The box incorporates a net which can be used to hold sauce. The product will be launched at a special event in Toronto on April 13 and will include television advertising featuring Raptors players Danny Green and OG Anunoby. The promotion is part of McDonald’s ongoing campaign with the Toronto Raptors, which also includes television and online ads, arena signage, giveaways and a co-branded visual identity.
“McDonald’s and the Raptors are both iconic brands,” said Jon Freir, group creative director at Cossette. “This design is an engaging way to extend the Raptors experience to more fans across Ontario."
