RBC adds bill payment to loyalty program
RBC of Toronto has introduced a new service for members of its RBC Rewards loyalty program that will allow consumers to pay bills using loyalty points. The program, called “Pay Bills with Points,” can be accessed via the bank’s website or mobile application. Users can choose a bill to pay and the amount of the payment to be converted into points. RBC launched a similar service last year that allows consumers to use loyalty points to pay for purchases at the point of sale.
“RBC Rewards is unique because it's designed with our members at the centre of everything we do, giving them the power to use their rewards for what's most important to them, from the everyday to-do’s like picking up groceries and paying bills to achieving their bucket list travel dreams with our market leading travel rewards, and everything in between," said Jacquelina Calisto, vice-president of loyalty and rewards at RBC.
