Atlantic Credit Unions readies online video series

Halifax-based industry association Atlantic Credit Unions has begun an online promotion called “Your Two Cents.” The effort will comprise a series on online videos on the subject of financial literacy, aimed primarily at younger consumers. The eight-part series will be hosted by television personality Jonathan Torrens and will debut in early spring.
“When the opportunity arose, we knew we had to be a part of ‘Your Two Cents,’” said Mike Leonard, CEO of Atlantic Central. “The programming and messaging speaks directly to our values of providing honest, straight forward financial advice to our members. It also shows that we really do understand the financial realities many younger consumers face today. Financial literacy doesn't have to be stiff and boring, it can be fun and accessible, while still being useful.”
