Privacy Commissioner publishes privacy settings advice

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada has released a collection of advice for Canadian consumers regarding the privacy settings of social media sites, mobile devices, digital assistants and online games. The publication advises consumers to make use of the strictest privacy settings available from these services, and to review these setting frequently in case of changes. It also recommends learning what personal information a service will collect before signing up. In addition, it suggests disabling location tracking and deleting stored information regularly.
