Sugar Shack event to take place in Toronto

Water's Edge Festivals & Events, in association with Redpath Sugar, will conduct a street promotion in Toronto this weekend called “Sugar Shack TO.” The free event will include two installations that will serve maple taffy. The events will also offer various ice-themed activities, a marketplace selling maple-themed products, a warming station, a maple sugaring demonstration, a winter-themed obstacle course, a chainsaw ice-carving competition, a skating rink and a bar serving hot alcoholic beverages. The event will also feature a personal appearance by Olympic swimmer Michelle Toro. Additional sponsors of the event include Waterfront Toronto, Menkes Developments, Tridel, Hines, First Capital, RBC, CTV, Cision and Westin Harbour Castle.
