H&R Block breaks new campaign

H&R Block Canada has begun a new advertising campaign called “Get What’s Yours,” timed to coincide with tax return season. Developed by Sid Lee of Toronto, the campaign highlights the advantages of using a professional to handle the tax filing process and maximize potential returns. The effort includes out-of-home advertising, online video pre-roll ads, digital ads, social media video and two television commercials. This is the second year of this campaign.
“The objective of this campaign was to steer Canadians to H&R Block instead of untrained preparers to file their taxes,” said Jeffrey Da Silva, executive creative director at Sid Lee. “By showing the pitfalls of not using a proper tax expert and sowing doubt in consumers’ minds, our brand campaign, combined with new incentives and referral programs, increased client growth after three year-over-year declines.”
