Ricardo Media to discontinue English-language print magazine

Ricardo Media of Saint-Lambert, QC will cease publication of the English-language print edition of Ricardo magazine with the Spring 2019 issue, which will be released in March. According to the company, it intends to focus on web-based content and other publishing initiatives. The company cited two reasons for discontinuing the food-themed magazine: first, the 70% share of its revenue paid to distributors and buyers in English Canada; second, a decline in print advertising revenue.
In related news, Ricardo Media has signed an advertising sales representation agreement for Ontario with MediaTonik of Montreal.
