President's Choice releases Eat Together video

Loblaw Companies of Brampton, ON has released an online video encouraging consumers to make a New Year's resolution to eat more meals with family and friends and to spend less time looking at phone, television and computer screens. The promotion is part of the company's ongoing "Eat Together" campaign in support of its President's Choice brand. The 90-second video depicts sharing a meal as a way to "live life to the fullest." The video will also run in cinemas. The execution is the first of a series of components for the campaign that will lead up to an event called "Eat Together Day" in June. The campaign includes a website at <> via which the company will donate one dollar to the PC Children's Charity for each visitor who pledges to eat with others.

"The act of eating together is very simple, yet the positive impacts are significant," said Uwe Stueckmann, senior vice-president of marketing at Loblaw Companies. "We know moments and memories are created while sharing meals together, conversations are created with our children, healthier meals are eaten, and we leave the table happier and more connected with the ones we love."
