Freedom Mobile begins holiday campaign

Telecommunications provider Freedom Mobile has begun a holiday season campaign called "100GB Binge Bonus" in support of its mobile data plans. The campaign, developed by Rain of Toronto, features actor Will Arnett, who highlights the restrictions of data plans from other service providers. It includes two 30-second commercials using the tagline, "That's Freedom." The television ads are accompanied by radio, out-of-home, online banner and online video advertising, as well as social media content.
"We know this is one of the busiest times of the year in the telco sector, and this campaign and offer allow us to be disruptive at a market-heavy time, much like we did with our 'Back to School' campaign with Will," said Dave Stubbs, executive creative director at Rain.
