Forests Ontario conducts awareness campaign

A group of 40 forestry industry organizations has begun a new phase of an out-of-home campaign in Ontario called "It Takes A Forest." The campaign is intended to raise awareness of the industry's sustainability initiatives as well as the importance of wood products generally. The effort makes use of billboard advertising that highlights the environmental benefits of wood products. This is being accompanied by social media activities and a website at <>.

"Ontario is recognized as having the most sustainable forest management standards in the world and that's something all Ontarians should be proud of," said Rob Keen, CEO of Forests Ontario. "By managing this important resource in a responsible manner, we're able to provide for a variety of social, ecological and economic values over the long-term. It's a good news story and one that needs to be told."
