New marketing vice-president at Roots

Toronto-based clothing retailer Roots Canada has promoted James Connell to the newly-created position of chief e-commerce and customer experience officer. He was most recently vice-president of e-commerce and marketing. Karen Zuccala has joined the company as vice-president of marketing. She was previously marketing director for brand experiences at Nike. She has also held marketing positions at Adidas and Diesel. Zuccala was also director of brand and communications strategy planning at Anomaly.
