Subway readies food bank promotion

Fast food chain Subway Canada will conduct a promotion in Toronto on Nov. 2 and 3 intended to raise awareness of the work done by food banks. The initiative will be conducted in association with the Daily Bread Food Bank and Food Banks Canada. It is timed to coincide with Subway's "World Sandwich Day" program. The promotion will consist of a temporary installation in downtown Toronto that will seek to show the evolution of food banks and to counter common misconception about them.
