Corus, Crown Media form content agreement

Toronto-based Corus Entertainment has formed a content agreement with Crown Media Family Network to bring programming from the Hallmark Channel to Corus specialty channel W Network. Through this multi-year agreement, Corus become the exclusive television distributor for Crown Media content in Canada. Beginning Nov. 1, Hallmark Channel original movies will begin airing on W Network, accompanied by a series of seasonal programming blocks.
"This partnership marks another milestone for W Network's elite schedule, bringing Canadians even more premium content from a global leader in original programming," said Daniel Eves, specialty senior vice-president at Corus Entertainment. "This marriage of brands boldly boosts our position as a leading specialty network and we're proud to be the first to bring the Hallmark Channel to Canada."
