McDonald's begins Beyond the Arch promotion with Raptors

McDonald's Canada has signed a three-year promotion with the Toronto Raptors basketball team called "Beyond the Arch." The promotion will run in Ontario. Users of the company's My McD's mobile application will receive a free order of medium fries each time the team makes more than 12 three-point shots in a single game. The special offer can be claimed the day after the game by displaying their mobile device in a McDonald's restaurant. The Toronto Raptors are operated by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment of Toronto.

"The partnership between McDonald’s and the Toronto Raptors combines two things our guests love: basketball and the Golden Arches," said Chuck Coolen, senior marketing manager for eastern Canada at McDonald's. "We both seek to bring feel good moments to the lives of our fans. 'Beyond the Arch' is an exciting opportunity to reward My McD's app users and fans by cheering on the Raptors."
