Adidas signs sponsorship deal with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment

Athletic footwear company Adidas Canada has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment of Toronto. Through this agreement, Adidas will become the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto FC for the next six years. In addition, Adidas will sell branded Raptors merchandise as kiosks in the Scotiabank Arena. The company will also conduct a series of basketball, hockey and soccer themed events aimed at consumers. Adidas will also continue to participate in the MLSE LaunchPad and MLSE Foundation programs.

"It was an obvious and natural partnership for Adidas Canada to further engage the city and highlight Toronto as a strong competitor, creator and player in professional sports," said Stewart Smith, brand vice-president at Adidas Canada. "We're excited to begin this journey alongside Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and create memorable moments with the teams and city."
