Sepaq conducts online video promotion

The Montreal-based Société des établissements de plein air du Québec is conducting a social media that makes use of Facebook Live. Until Sept. 5, the organization will run a series of live videos on the service, each of which will be associated with a promotional offer that will remain valid only for the duration of the video. Each video will depict a person attempting to complete a task, with each video ending when that goal is accomplished. The campaign was developed by Lg2 of Montreal. Sépaq is a provincial organization that manages parks and wilderness areas in Quebec.

"The initiative is a perfect example of hackvertising," said Alexandre Jourdain, creative director at Lg2. "We took an existing tool, in this case live video, and then used it in a disruptive way to turn it into a promotional tool."
