McDonald's conducts Friestream promotion
McDonald's Canada recently conducted a promotion called "Friestream" timed to coincide with National French Fry Day. The campaign, developed by Cossette with media work by OMD, made use of a drive-through style speaker installation at the top of Grouse Mountain in Vancouver. The speaker broadcast consumer comments submitted via social media nationally. The promotion also included mobile application support, a Snapchat filter and an online livestream of the speaker installation.
"We're continuously evolving the way we connect with Canadians and pushing boundaries to broaden our digital impact and leadership in the industry," said Rashel Hariri, manager of digital social engagement at McDonald's Canada. "National French Fry Day delivered excitement for fry lovers across Canada while incorporating our mobile app to drive users to our restaurants."
