Connected Lab rebrands as Connected

Toronto-based software development company Connected Lab has undertaken a rebranding initiative. The company will now operate under the name Connected. According to the firm, the new name is intended to better reflect its expansion into product development, strategy, design and software engineering. The new branding also includes the corporate tagline, "Build Better Products," as well as a new logo and a series of illustrations representing four themes: identify, make, release and evolve.

Connected will promote its new branding with an event conducted in association with technology festival Elevate in September.

"Connected was created because our founders were tired of watching so many products die in execution due to the disconnect that came from businesses working with different product experts in different product life-stages," said Tammy Chiasson, vice-president of marketing at Connected. "It was an easy rebrand for me to get passionate about because I really get the 'broken telephone' problem in the industry, and Connected is doing a great job of creating a new and necessary category in the market."
