Movember Foundation readies online campaign

Charitable organization the Movember Foundation has begun an online initiative intended to raise awareness of prostate and testicular cancer. The campaign consists of a long-form documentary-style video series which will run on Instagram's new IGTV service beginning Aug. 3. One video will be released each day for five days. According to Movember, it is the first organization to use the service to distribute a documentary series. The videos will feature men describing their experiences with the diseases.
"With Instagram's launch of IGTV to share longer-form content, it is the ideal platform to tell more emotional, engaging stories," said Jon Akerman, global digital director of the Movember Foundation. "We created this series to share real life experiences of men that deal with the challenges of prostate and testicular cancer everyday, and to share the importance of quality of life with both the Movember community, as well as the larger Instagram network."
