Desjardins resumes Cooperathon promotion

Montreal-based Mouvement Desjardins has begun a third annual competition called "Coopérathon." The social responsibility initiative will take place at nine locations nationally from Sept. 26 to Nov. 1. Participating students, developers, designers, entrepreneurs and others will be asked to collaborate on projects that address various social issues. The event this year will focus on sustainability in the industries of finance, education, health care and energy. The process will included idea development, prototyping, and then pitching the concept to a judging panel.
"Coopérathon is a purpose-driven marathon of collaboration," said Federico Puebla, director of innovation at Desjardins. "We're seeking to create a more sustainable social future by rallying together impact creators in an environment that facilitates a culture of innovation through the bridging of ideas and actions."
