Postmedia redesigns community newspaper websites
Postmedia Network of Toronto has begun an effort to redesign and relaunch the websites of its 92 community newspapers. The redesigns are intended to provide a better user experience, additional content and new advertising options. The work is being conducted in-house. Twelve of the new sites have been introduced, with the remainder to roll out through the summer. The launches are being supported with advertising also produced in-house.
"Our newly redesigned community newspaper websites have all been upgraded with richer visuals, quicker response times, video content and an overall better user experience," said Gerry Nott, senior vice-president of content at Postmedia. "Visitors will find new features and easier navigation while continuing to connect to their trusted local experts."
