Newcap to aquire two FM stations from Hector Broadcasting

Newcap of Dartmouth has received approval from the CRTC to acquire two radio stations in New Glasgow, NS: CKEC-FM and CKEZ-FM. Both are currently owned by Hector Broadcasting. CKEC operates as 94.1 East Coast FM and broadcasts adult contemporary music, while CKEZ operates as Classic Rock 97.9 and airs rock music programming. Newcap is a subsidiary of Newfoundland Capital Corporation.
