LG Electronics breaks We're for Geeks campaign

LG Electronics Canada has begun a new advertising campaign called "We're for Geeks." The campaign, developed by KBS Canada, promotes the company's new G7 ThinQ smartphone. According to the company, the effort is intended to depict the ways in which the phone "enables their inner geek" when used by a consumer. Elements include online videos as well as out-of-home ad and digital advertising.
"The stigma once attached to the word 'geek' is gone," said Matt Hassell, chief creative officer at KBS. "Today, it has come to mean someone who is passionate about something. A geek used to define someone as uncool or lame, someone to pity, but today's geek is someone we all aspire to be."
