Ministry of Tourism conducts photo contest

The Ministry of Small Business and Tourism and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society have begun a contest promotion called "Show Us Your Canada." The initiative is tied to the ongoing Canada-China Year of Tourism program intended to encourage travel between the two countries. The contest invites consumers to submit photographs of their favourite Canadian travel destinations in various categories. The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to China. In addition, a number of submissions will be featured at the Year of Tourism closing ceremony. The contest will run until Aug. 24 at <https://tourism.canadiangeographic.ca>. Additional participants in the promotion include Air Canada, Via Rail and Parks Canada.
"As we celebrate the 2018 Canada-China Year of Tourism, we invite all Canadians to show the world our home and native land through their eyes and to become digital ambassadors to the millions of international tourists who yearn to visit our beautiful country," said Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism. "This is a great opportunity for Canadians to share our breathtaking nature, vibrant cities and fun activities, and for indigenous culture to be showcased, from coast to coast to coast. Your picture could be the one that sparks the curiosity of a family to come and visit Canada."
