Tim Hortons readies donut sandwich promotion

Tim Hortons has begun a contest promotion in support of a new limited-time menu item called the Honey Dip Donut Breakfast Sandwich. The item, consisting of a glazed donut sandwiching sausage, egg and cheese, will be sold for one morning only on June 1. To enter the contest, consumers can submit photographs of themselves with a Tim Hortons donut via Twitter or Instagram on June 1. The winner will receive free donuts for a year.

"We are excited to bring Canadians together with a fun food creation that pairs our breakfast sandwich with Canada's favourite treat," said Sami Siddiqui, president of Tim Hortons Canada. "For 54 years, donuts have been a core part of our heritage. Every day is donut day at Tim Hortons."
