Awards: Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada

The Toronto-based Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada conducted its annual Sponsorship Marketing Awards this week. The event's Best in Show award went to the "Itty Bitty Ballers" campaign conducted by the Toronto Raptors and Go Daddy. MKTG was named the organization's 2018 Agency of the Year. The Property of the Year award was split between the National Hockey League and the Toronto FC. Andrea Shaw, founder and managing partner of TTG Canada, was inducted into the association's Hall of Fame.

Additional Gold award winners included the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the BMO200 "Wish it Forward" campaign, the Hudson's Bay "Grand Portage" campaign, the Brita "Filter for Good" campaign, the BMO Raptor Suite Views program, as well as CIBC and the Greater Toronto Airport Authority.

"We had an unprecedented number of submissions, some new brands in the mix, and the quality was outstanding," said Jim Kozak, chair of the association's 2018 judging committee. "The jury had a hard time selecting the winners, but I'm thrilled to congratulate the 2018 winners as they continue to deliver excellence and innovation in sponsorship marketing."
