Big Rock Brewery breaks Ed Said campaign

Big Rock Brewery of Calgary has begun a new advertising campaign called "Ed Said." According to the company, the campaign pays homage to Big Rock founder Ed McNally. Developed by C&B Advertising of Calgary, the initiative includes out-of-home ads, online banners, street posters and social media content. The creative depicts McNally offering commentary on various subjects such as other beers, commuters and local neighbourhoods. The campaign will run for eight weeks.

"Ed had very unique views that basically sparked the industry's creation," said Shelley Girard, vice-president of marketing at Big Rock Brewery. "You may say he was audacious. We prefer Ed-acious. We actually use that word internally to drive our culture and shape our organizational persona, and we'd like to think this campaign is an external manifestation of that spirit and tenacity."
