M&M's begins Flavour Vote promotion

Candy company Mars Canada as begun a promotion called "Flavour Vote" in support of its M&M's brand. The promotion encourages consumers to vote on their favourite of three new flavours of the candy: Crunchy Espresso, Crunchy Raspberry and Crunchy Mint. Consumers can vote once per day until May 25. The company conducted a similar promotion in the United States last year. This will be the first year the initiative is open to Canadian consumers.

Consumers can vote online at <http://flavourvote.mms.com>. Participants are also encouraged to submit a photograph of themselves with their selections. Voting can also been done by social media. The winning flavour will be announced in August and will be sold nationally for 18 months.

"We heard Canadian M&M's fans plea to join the flavour vote and take part in the fun of choosing the next crunchy flavour," said Diana Frost, marketing director at Mars Wrigley Confectionery. "The three new M&M's flavours reflect the growing trend of bold tastes popping up across North America and we're giving Canadians a chance to have their say by casting their vote for their favourite."
