Alzheimer Society hires Stephen Thomas

The Alzheimer Society of Canada has retained Stephen Thomas of Toronto as its fundraising agency of record. The firm won the account in a competitive bid process. Stephen Thomas will develop a fundraising strategy for the society that will include direct mail and digital campaigns beginning in the spring. The assignment includes support for the national organization as well as seven provincial and territorial societies.

"[Stephen Thomas submitted] a very smart and insightful strategic proposal to increase fundraising, enabling us to respond to the increasing numbers of Canadians impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, while also delivering the critical message that dementia is not an inevitable part of the aging process," said Andrew Burditt, chief fundraising and marketing officer for the society. "ST demonstrated a clear willingness and ability to collaborate with us on audience messaging, brand adaptation where necessary and the optimization of our fundraising efforts both with existing and new donors."
