The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are conducting a contest promotion aimed at children called "Name the Puppy." During the month of February, children are invited to submit name suggestions for 13 German shepherd puppies that will be raised as police dogs. The contest is open to children under the age of 14. Names must begin with the letter "L" and use no more than two syllables and nine letter. Each of the 13 winners will receive a photograph of the puppy to receive their name, as well as a stuffed toy dog and a RCMP cap. Entries can be submitted by mail or online at <>
