Next Canada debuts Canada.ai
Next Canada of Toronto has launched a new website called Canada.ai that is intended to highlight Canadian work in the field of artificial intelligence. It will be operated in collaboration with a group of organizations working in the field, including the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, Borealis AI, the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, the Creative Destruction Lab, Element AI, the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms and the Vector Institute.
The site will offer news about developments in artificial intelligence and upcoming events. It also offers a directory Canadian organizations researching, developing and commercializing AI, as well as a history of AI in Canada.
"Canada is home to several of the world's most advanced AI organizations and companies, operating across the country," said Jean-Francois Gagné, CEO of Element AI. "Canada.ai provides a space to celebrate all of those organizations and highlight wins as a community. Together, we can continue to push the boundaries of what Canada can accomplish with artificial intelligence, and secure our position as a leading force in the industry."
