Ikea continues Let's Play campaign

Home furnishings retailer Ikea Canada has resumed its "Let's Play for Change" campaign for a second year. The initiative, conducted by the Ikea Foundation, seeks to encourage children's development through learning, sports and play. Until the end of the year, interactive games and activities will be installed in the showrooms of Ikea stores nationally. Ikea Canada will also donate the proceeds from sales of a limited-edition soft toy collection to a variety of Canadian children's charities.
"At Ikea, we believe every child has the right to play, and we know play is a critical part of a young child's development and emotional wellbeing," said Brendan Seale, sustainability manager at Ikea Canada. "Through the 'Let's Play for Change' campaign, we want to build a movement to emphasize the importance of play, while alleviating the barriers to play and development facing vulnerable children around the world."
